This AOE2 Man at Arms into Towers Build order can be done with any civilization, although there will be certain civs that will be able to complete this even quicker due to their civ bonuses. This is a really strong strategy providing you can keep the Man at Arms alive. You will reach your enemy base with militia, before the enemy has had a chance to wall up their base. You will also be sending 5 villagers forward so that once you reach Feudal age, you can begin making towers on their woodlines and other resources to prevent them from getting a foothold in the game. If your enemy has walled, don’t worry, make a tower to attack any repair villagers and attack the wall with your men at arms.
Tower’s aren’t as strong as they used to be and can be quite easily destroyed by villagers, so it’s important to build walls around the base of your towers so that they cannot be attacked. Thankfully, your Man at arms will be on hand to kill off any villagers that try to attack your towers. But ideally, you will need to use them to raid the rest of the economy. Having your man at arms on stand ground will prevent them from following villagers in to the town centre, where they will be killed. This strategy will also help you to get an early castle built once you reach the castle age.
